Our eggs don’t look like what you’d buy at a big chain or discount supermarket. They are produced by a variety of heritage or rare breed chickens that come in a variety of different colours, different sizes and with different personalities. They are a mix of Auracana, Appenzeller Spitzhauben, Escola-olia, Wellsummer, Red Sex-link, D’uccle, Wyandottes Marans and Rhode Island Reds and Whites. The eggs are as varied as the chickens; different sizes and different colours, even on the inside. Although they are not graded for size, be assured that you are eating a high qualtiy product, as fresh as you can get, quite often laid the same day as they’re sold. Happy chickens who spend their days running freely through pastures foraging for their favourite delicacies lay better tasting eggs!
